SOFTWARE REVIEW The Final Reviewby Barry Render, Rollins College Six years as Software Review Editor! Decision Line has come a long way from its newspaper format days, with much credit due to our Editor-in -Chief Roscoe Davis, and Managing Editor Hal Jacobs. When Roscoe asked me to start a new column in 1988, one dedicated to software, I was thrilled to participate. Signing on for two years turned into three, four, five and six, because working with Roscoe, Hal, and all the wonderful contributing reviewers made the task a very rewarding one. So as Roscoe turns over the reigns to Terry Rakes, and I to the new column editor, this seems to be a good time to review the reviews. What follows is a chronological index of the software examined since 1988 and the professors who wrote those columns. Special thanks go to my top contributors, Jack Yurkiewicz (at Pace University) with six reviews, and Tom Danford (at Rollins College) with four columns to his credit. 1988 Vol. 19, No. 5 1989 Vol. 20, No. 1 Vol. 20, No. 2 Vol. 20, No. 3 Vol. 20, No. 4 Vol. 20, No. 5 Mathematica 1990 Vol. 21, No. 2 Vol. 21, No. 3 Vol. 21, No. 4 Vol. 21, No. 5 1991 Vol. 22, No. 2 Vol. 22, No. 3 Vol. 22, No. 4 Vol. 22, No. 5 1992 Vol. 23, No. 2 Vol. 23, No. 3 Vol. 23, No. 4 Vol. 23, No. 5 1993 Vol. 24, No. 2 Vol. 24, No. 3 Vol. 24, No. 4 |
