Proceedings of the 39th Annual Meeting of the
We are honored to offer this Proceedings of the 39th Annual Meeting of the Decision Sciences Institute. The 39th Annual Meeting was held in Baltimore from November 22-25, 2008. This year's theme was Improving Competitiveness through Information and Decision Sciences. This year’s proceedings are arranged such that you can search for any paper based on several criteria. Specifically, you can search this proceedings by author’s last name, track and paper title, track and session, keywords provided by authors, and finally by the submission numbers. To find Proceedings papers, you can click on any of the following index links:
All Proceedings files are in Adobe PDF format. To view/print these files you will need to have a PDF reader installed, which comes standard with most personal computers. If you need to obtain a PDF reader, see the Adobe website at (click here), for information about downloading a free PDF reader. The proceedings were made possible through the diligent work of all the individuals who wrote the research papers, the track chairs, and the many reviewers. All of the research papers in Proceedings of the 39th Annual Meeting of the Decision Sciences Institute were reviewed by at least two referees and authors were asked to make considerable changes to their papers. We hope that the quality shows. The following is an example of a modified APA Style for referencing an entry in these proceedings: Doe, John Q. Advances in systems analysis and design: A human values approach. In J. E. Kendall (ed.) Proceedings of the 39th Annual Meeting of the Decision Sciences Institute, Atlanta: Decision Sciences Institute, 2008, pp.xx-xxx.

Instructions for Downloading the 2008 DSI Proceedings You have three options for viewing and downloading the 2008 DSI Proceedings: 1. View the files online from this web page and download individual papers (pdfs). 2. Download the zip file to your hard drive and extract the contents. We recommend that you create a new folder (e.g., "DSI 2008 Proceedings") for the files. Afterwards, you may want to use a disk-burning utility to create a CD with these files. 3. Download the .iso file and burn it to a CD with software such as Easy CD Creator.* Note: Because of the size of these files, they may take several minutes to download using a high-speed connection or several hours with a dial-up connection (we do not recommend the latter). Download zip file (dsi2008proceeds.zip) - 30MB Download ISO file (2008DSI-Proceedings.iso) - 36MB
*An ISO file is a disk image of a CD or DVD. One way to open an iso file is to burn the iso image onto a CD or DVD and most disk-burning software can do this, but make sure to look for the “Burn ISO” or “Burn Disc Image.” After the image has been burned to the disc it will work just like an original CD or DVD.
