The Decision Sciences Institute is a volunteer-run professional association governed by an elected Board of Directors. Committees and program coordinators assist in planning and carrying out the activities of the Institute. The Home Office, with direction provided by the Executive Director, handles the operating responsibilities of the Institute and provides support to the Institute's members and activities.

The Board of Directors consists of the president (who serves as Chairperson), immediate past president, president-elect, secretary, treasurer, and vice presidents, one elected by each of the Regional subdivisions and an equal number of Vice Presidents elected at-large, and the Executive Director as an ex-officio member.

As a volunteer-run organization, the Institute relies on individuals to fill key positions related to its mission and goals. We currently have vacancy positions for the following: Decision Sciences Journal of Innovative Education Editorship and Decision Line Editorship.
