2007 New Faculty Development ConsortiumThe New Faculty Development Consortium (NFDC) deals with research, teaching, publishing and other professional development issues for faculty who are beginning their academic careers. In addition, the NFDC will focus on personal development and discuss intricacies between work-life and of family life. There will be sessions dealing with how to manage and what is the impact of the new faculty work life on their personal life. We strongly encourage and invite spouse or the significant other of the faculty participant to attend some of these sessions. Please submit proposals for workshops, tutorials, and other special sessions directly to the NFDC coordinator by May 1, 2007. Attendance at the consortium is by application and is open to faculty members who have a PhD degree and are in the first two years of their teaching career. Please send your application to: New Faculty Development Consortium Coordinator
